Risk of Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm (ROMA)

The Risk of Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm (ROMA) blood test provides an index used to help assess the preoperative risk of ovarian cancer in women with a pelvic mass. It also assesses the need for referral to a gynaecologic oncologist.

Elevated ROMA levels indicate an increased risk of ovarian cancer. ROMA must be interpreted together with a complete radiological and clinical assessment.
