Depression is a complex state dependent on a variety of factors from neurotransmitters to emotions and genetics.
It is not certain how biochemical imbalances influence neurotransmitter levels possibly leading to depression but treatment of those that can be detected can lead to more effective long term therapy.
The profile aims to identify some of the detectable imbalances that may influence mood.

Exams included:

  • Full Blood Count (FBC) + Differential
  • Testosterone
  • Estradiol (E2)
  • Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
  • Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
  • Vitamin B12
  • Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
  • Free Thyroxine (FT4)
  • Rheumatoid Factor Quantitative
  • Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c)
  • Cholesterol Total
  • High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL Cholesterol)
  • Glucose
  • Progesterone PRG

There is an additional £15 phlebotomy fee for every donation.
